For ten years now, the bookstore chain has offered special holiday editions \u2014 this year\u2019s releases promise words of wisdom that serve as a compass for adults both in everyday life and during the festive season, while offering young readers an adventurous story about the power of love, friendship, and courage. Libri\u2019s special editions are available from November 1.<\/strong><\/p><\/p>\n\n<p>Antoine de Saint-Exup\u00e9ry, Charles Dickens, Oscar Wilde, Hans Christian Andersen, L. Frank Baum, E.T.A. Hoffmann, A. A. Milne, as well as Magda Szab\u00f3, Endre Ady, Frigyes Karinthy, Gyula Kr\u00fady, and Alaine Polcz \u2014 these are some of the authors whose festive editions have been released by Libri over the past ten years, timed to the Christmas season.<\/p>\n\n<p><p data-start=\"1089\" data-end=\"1315\">Since 2015, the series of festive volumes has been expanding each year. This year, it continues with two new additions: S\u00e1ndor M\u00e1rai\u2019s <em data-start=\"1224\" data-end=\"1243\">The Book of Herbs<\/em>, an eternal classic, and M\u00e1ria Szepes\u2019s youth novel <em data-start=\"1296\" data-end=\"1312\">The Star Child<\/em>.<\/p><\/p>\n\n<p><p data-start=\"1317\" data-end=\"1805\">\u201cThe holidays are not only written in red letters on the calendar. Look at how the ancients celebrated \u2014 with reverence, with complete devotion, with great ceremony, and with wild joy,\u201d wrote M\u00e1rai. His 1943 collection of aphorisms \u2014 now reissued by Libri Bookstores in collaboration with Helikon Publishing \u2014 is one of his most popular and frequently quoted works, offering timeless guidance for both everyday moments and life\u2019s great turning points, as well as for the festive season.<\/p><\/p>\n\n<p>M\u00e1ria Szepes\u2019s <em data-start=\"1822\" data-end=\"1838\">The Star Child<\/em>, first published in 1976, is a charming and lesser-known youth novel by the author of the beloved <em data-start=\"1937\" data-end=\"1952\">P\u00f6tty\u00f6s Panni<\/em> series. Its protagonist, Rozi Tak\u00e1cs (nicknamed Cricket), embarks on a series of adventures through unknown worlds, learning not only about the wider universe but also about the complex nature of human relationships. The festive edition of <em data-start=\"2193\" data-end=\"2209\">The Star Child<\/em> is published by Libri Bookstores in collaboration with M\u00f3ra Publishing House.<\/p>\n\n<p><p data-start=\"2291\" data-end=\"2882\">\u201cEvery year, we select the stories for Libri\u2019s festive editions with great love and care \u2014 our hearts enter the holiday spirit long before the season begins.
